The stone blocksare square and erect, there are many trees on the top to create a wild space.These newly discovered rock areas are referred to by locals as “Ganh DaDia on land” of Phu Yen province.

Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Yenprovince proposed Phu Yen People’s Committee to soon direct functional agenciesand companies that are quarrying, when finding areas with special stonestructures such as Da Dia Reef, stop exploiting and provide direction toprotect and research for tourism development. Mr. Pham Van Bay, Director of theDepartment of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Yen province, said that the companies’process of exploiting stone is about to reveal the area with a beautiful stoneshape, not about having particular knowledge but still licensing exploitationpermits.

Through the survey, he unit found that these rockareas have very good geological value and can serve tourism development. Thedepartment will send a report to the People’s Committee of Phu Yen province torequest quarrying companies to stop exploiting and protecting beautiful shapedrock areas.
